S I X years ago I became a counselor in training at Private Clinic North- another home for me.
Stepping into this field has opened endless amounts of doors, opportunities and learning experiences.
I’ve gotten my certified alcohol and drug addiction certification. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve lost, I’ve seen recovery transform men and women and I’m honored to have been apart of it for so long.
I’ve seen children get their parents back and parents get their children back.
I fight- hard- every day and it can be exhausting but the reward is far greater. I know that addiction is a disease and I stand by the people that I serve with a grateful and humble heart that the stigma will change for them one day.
I spent this past weekend learning more about myself in Utah with my Whole30 family making more and more connections on how my passion for healthy living and being a certified addictions counselor go hand in hand confirming that where I am is exactly where I am supposed to be.
Serving, learning, giving, and taking every ounce of knowledge I can to be the best counselor and coach that I can be.
